In the statement it was stated that a statement had to be made due to statements made on some social media accounts on 12.04.2022 that “e-Government data was leaked, there were photo IDs and current addresses among the leaked data”.
Emphasizing that the Central Population Management System (MERNIS) is an intranet (closed loop) system closed to the Internet environment, the following statements were used:

For all systems, including MERNIS, which is carried out by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship, intrusion tests are carried out by various independent companies on a continuous and regular basis each year. As a result of testing, it was reported that NVIGM’s security systems are very good, and it was determined that there are no weaknesses for data leaks.
