The “Article Competition” organized by the newspaper Doğuş is over –

From February 1, 2022 to March 31; was launched to encourage young people to read, write and do research. “Individual and social attitudes of Muslims faced with the cultural pressure of modernity” 27 participants participated in the contest of gifted articles on the theme. Unfortunately, two contestants from the Netherlands took part in the competition, which determined young people living in the Netherlands as the target group. In the contest, where the rest of the contestants lived in Turkey, the top five winners were determined by consensus and jury scores.

Here again, the common impression of the jury is that there is a problem of depth in the treatment of the theme, which is the subject of the competition, in the articles in general, and this is unfortunately noted.

The jury of five experts in their fields (Ergün Madak, H. Kerim Ece, Erol Sanburkan, İsmail Coşkun, Talha Yıldız) examined and determined the 10 criteria (Dominance of subject, Interpretation, Use of sources, Contribution to subject, Style, Originality, Language). Use, Consistency, Harmony and Fluidity, Composition) within the framework of the points awarded out of 100 Yaşar Bayar 421, İbrahim Şaşma 321, Ersin Aydın 235, Metin Baykara 215, İbrahim Sergeant 156 points and placed in the top five. determined.

We will share the winning articles – after any necessary corrections – both in our journal and on our journal’s website and digital platforms.

As Doğuş newspaper, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who heard our call and participated in the contest.

The gifts determined for our first three competitors will be delivered to them as soon as possible.
