Karaismailoğlu met the employees of the 13th Regional Highways Directorate in Antalya during the iftar organized in the social facilities of the institution.
Karaismailoğlu in his speech here said that they worked hard as a great team all over Turkey and fought a great struggle.
Expressing that the goal of this struggle is to achieve the milestones of a great and strong Turkey, Karaismailoğlu said:
“A big and strong Turkey is possible thanks to a strong transport infrastructure. That is why we have been struggling throughout our country, especially on the highways, for the past 20 years, and we continue to do so. Because we don’t have to stop In the past 20 years, we have reached 28,600 kilometers Thanks to the divided roads that we have eliminated, traffic accidents in our country have decreased by up to 80%. safe and controlled roads, we save 12,000 lives every year. Saving so many lives and property is really important work. But do we have any shortcomings? That’s why we will continue to work tirelessly.”
Expressing that the work done over the past 20 years will not end with explanations, Karaismailoğlu said: “We have built the longest suspension bridge in the world, which the world envies, like Çanakkale Bridge, and have presented to the service of the Republic of Turkey and the world. It is truly an engineering marvel. Now we do the best engineering projects in the world. Now we are doing the greatest technological work in the world. That is why all developing countries come to Turkey and want to benefit from our knowledge, skills and experience. Our biggest goal is to be among the developed economies of the world. That is why nothing is missing from this solid infrastructure. he said.
Minister Karaismailoğlu said transport projects are similar to rivers, adding that rivers bring vitality to the places they go and increase production, and transport projects are the same as them.
Emphasizing that the faster and safer a region is reached, the more it contributes to that region’s employment, production, tourism and agriculture, Karaismailoğlu said: “As the Ministry of Transport, we have invested $170 billion over the past 20 years. The effect of this on production and national income is more than that, which is why we have been able to complete the biggest projects in the world at the same time by using our build-operate-transfer projects and the public budget in a way planned. Just as we are doing hundreds of projects in Anatolia at the same time as the construction of Çanakkale Bridge, it is good planning and budgeting. Recalling that they announced the transport and logistics master plan 2053 in the previous days, Karaismailoğlu said that what can be done every year until 2053 is planned.
Minister Karaismailoğlu, who said they are a big Turkey planning for 30 years, not the next 2-3 years, said: “There is a very strong Turkey. We have planned all of our $198 billion projects over the next 30 years. Hopefully we’ll do them as part of a program.” mentioned.
Karaismailoğlu said they have spent about 65% of their budget on highways over the past 20 years, and will continue to do so as the needs and demands are not over.
Karaismailoğlu said, “We will increase the length of our divided road, which is 28,600 kilometers, to 38,000 kilometers by 2053.” mentioned.
Minister Karaismailoğlu added that the tender for the highway between Antalya and Alanya will take place this summer.
Stating that they have made great efforts in the snow battle this year, Uraloğlu said: “Are we tired? We have worked a little, but we have a lot of work ahead of us.
