Pursuing his university studies in addition to his concert studies, Çağrı became a pioneer in this field with the thesis, article and training book he prepared as a result of his research on the left clarinet used in the Turkish music. In 2011, academician Bojana Kragulj, who teaches clarinet at the University of North Carolina in the United States, did his doctoral thesis on “Clarinet and Serkan Çağrı Performance Techniques in Turkish Music”. This study received first prize at the “International Research Competition” held in Los Angeles the same year.
He released his first instrumental album called “Nefesim”, which he published in 2005. The artist, who brought together his second solo album “ÂLÂ” with the public in 2007, brought together many famous artists and reinterpreted the immortal works of the composer with a modern understanding in the album “Serkan Çağrı with the works of Şükrü Tunar”, which he prepared in memory of the composer and clarinet virtuoso Şükrü Tunar in 2008. He participated in Serkan’s album projects Çağrı & Rumeli Band “Live Project” in 2011 and Serkan Çağrı & Hüseyin Karadayı “Endorphin” in 2012. Finally, he released his album “Sır” in 2016.
In 2010 and 2011, he was the musical director of the feature film series “Alas, Eyyvah”, which topped the list of films with the screenplay and the main role of Ata Demire.
