Minister of National Education Özer: “The more we can keep the maturation institutes alive, the more we will progress to become a leading country”
İSTANBUL – National Education Minister Mahmut Özer in his speech at the opening of “Turkish Weaving Atlas” exhibition said, “The longer we can keep the maturation institutes alive, the more progress we will make towards becoming a leading country.
National Education Minister Mahmut Özer attended the inauguration of the “Atlas of Turkish Weaving” exhibition in Istanbul, held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s wife, Emine Erdoğan . Besides Minister Mahmut Özer, many guests attended the opening of the exhibition, which started at 4:00 p.m. at the Tophane-i Amire Cultural and Art Center. Minister Özer highlighted the importance of the “Turkish Weaving Atlas” project, which aims to introduce traditional Anatolian weavings to the world as a Turkish brand with authentic modern designs, and thanked the President of the Assembly of Exporters Turks and textiles and raw materials. Stating that as the Ministry of National Education, they not only carry out educational activities but also work in two important departments such as public education centers and maturing institutes, Minister Özer spoke about the contributions that these services provide in the context of employment and the protection of cultural values.

Referring to the importance and objectives of the public education centers, which is one of the services provided by the ministry, Minister Özer said: “As you know, as the Ministry of National Education, we don’t just provide education and training services. at the same time, two major units affiliated with our General Directorate for Lifelong Learning are there to be alongside our fellow citizens, to be there for culture and art. We also play a major role in the active reproduction of heritage that will be carried from the past to Public education centers are very valuable. Our goal is to visit 1 million of our citizens every month with these courses and provide the service. “We have brought together 6 million of our citizens with public education classes. Hopefully we aim to bring 1 million of our citizens with public education classes each month. 70% of that are women. In other terms, it also has a great function in terms of employment of our women and re-education of our women,” he said.

Speaking about Maturation Institutes, Minister Özer said: “Another important service we have is Maturation Institutes. There are about 24 Maturation Institutes in Turkey. Minister Mahmut Özer also spoke about the R&D activities carried out in the ripening institutes. Minister Özer said: “As the Ministry of National Education, we have set a new goal in maturing institutes. From now on, our 24 ripening institutes do not just provide these services in a conventional way. At the same time, they began to serve as R&D. We have a Maturation Institute, which means we have 24 R&D centers. These R&D centers, our Maturation Institutes also play a major role in transferring products from the past to the present within the framework of intellectual property and industrial rights. work within the framework of intellectual property to obtain its registration and filed an application with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office for 7,000,843 design registrations. 6,000,830 design records were obtained.
