Karaismailoğlu said that this fair, which he finds extremely important in terms of bringing together all stakeholders under one roof, and which provides a basis for information sharing with seminars, workshops and events, is undertaking a valuable task for the development of the industry.

“Transportation is closely linked to the balance between supply and demand in almost all sectors. Transport, which is at the center of social, political, technical, economic and cultural relations, is directly and linked to each of them. Moreover, the transport sector connects all these elements. Transportation is of strategic importance in our age of ever-increasing global interaction. Given the geostrategic position of our country, its policies of integration with its region in all directions, and its economic objectives, we have placed on our agenda the most effective, efficient and innovative arguments of transport, “logistics-mobility-digitalization” and intelligent transport systems. . We have set realistic goals with the right strategies and policies for these areas. We are working to increase the use of electric vehicles in public transport and service vehicles. We encourage the development of national and national technologies for environmental sustainability and for the transition to clean energy in the field of transport.

Minister Karaismailoğlu said that they are carrying out studies on the technical and administrative infrastructure that will allow the generalization of the increasing number of electric vehicles in Turkey, and said: “We are creating the general concept for the projects for the dissemination of the use bicycles and scooters in cities and pedestrianization.” mentioned.

Recalling that they have made huge breakthroughs and reform works in the field of transportation over the past 20 years, Karaismailoğlu said that by successfully realizing mega transportation projects such as Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, the Istanbul Airport, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, 1915 Çanakkale Bridges, highways and YHT lines, both the nation and the nation He stressed that they serve the world.

Karaismailoğlu continued his remarks as follows:

“With uninterrupted traffic flow improving the operational performance of our routes, we have saved 7.3 billion travel hours per year. Thanks to the shortened travel times, we saved 85 billion 581 million TL per year, including 76 billion 458 million TL for time, 6 billion TL for fuel oil, 3 billion TL for maintenance and 123 million TL for TL for the environment. In addition, road safety has increased thanks to our investments. Traffic fatalities have decreased significantly. This means that we save the lives of 9,500 people per year. We have also reduced emissions by 5 million tonnes.

Adil Karaismailoğlu said he has implemented projects that add value to Turkey in 20 years, with an investment of 170 billion dollars, and said: “We are designing the future of Turkey with the transport master plan and Logistics 2053, which we shared with the public recently. At the end of our five-year plans, to 2053, we planned an investment of $198 billion for rail, land, sea, air and communications, and we are doing it. he said.

Karaismailoğlu said that by 2053 the contribution to the national income will reach 1 trillion dollars and they will earn more than 5 times the investment cost, and said: “Our contribution to the production will be around 2 trillion dollars and about 10 times the investment cost. . We will increase the use of electric and alternative energy instead of fossil fuels on the roads. It will also strengthen our green approach and the contribution of our projects to our national wealth by increasing the fuel, environmental and time savings of our projects. With these projects, we are determined to be the leading country in the developed world, not the developing world. used expressions.

Karaismailoğlu said that rapidly developing and growing cities in transport and communication infrastructure development and new technologies brought by digitalization have changed the mobility ecosystem in urban transport, and said:

“Especially on the streets of our metropolitan cities, micro-mobility vehicles with an average speed below 50 kilometers per hour, both electric and non-electric, have increased significantly. The fact that the number of motorcycles, which was around 1 million in 2003, is now 4 million, shows that the demand for motorcycle use is increasing. According to data from TUIK in February 2022, the number of motorcycle registrations increased by 15.6% compared to January-February of the previous year. In February 2022, 14,468 registrations were registered. In February 2021, this number was 12,517. Today, there are approximately 25.4 million registered vehicles in circulation, of which 3.8 million, or 15%, are motorcycles. At this point, as a department, we are doing very important work for the safety of motorcycle users first and immediately after for the safety of property.

Expressing that they have designed and constructed not only the infrastructure but also the superstructure and road engineering structures with superior planning, and are working hard to maximize the safety of life and property during the traffic, Karaismailoğlu said, in this context, to reduce the severity of the collision at the time of the accident. He explained that they implemented guardrail systems, also called “Motor-Friendly Barriers”, and increased the number of positions and their length.

This year, we plan to install more than 40,000 meters of protective guardrails. In addition, we partnered with the Turkish Motorcycle Platform and determined the “Motor-Friendly Barrier” plan for 190 points. he said.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu said he wanted to share good news for motorcycle users and said, “Motorcycle users will also benefit from the privilege offered by the Eurasia Tunnel, which is an important alternative to crossing the Bosphorus and serves the road between Kazlıçeşme and Göztepe.
