Turkcell’s project to turn tech waste into education

Turkcell has added a new project to the projects it has implemented in the name of environmental protection and social value creation. Turkcell, Information Industry Association (TÜBİSAD) and Turkey Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV); In order to manage technological waste, increase environmental benefits and create social awareness, he began to transfer income from technological and information waste sent for recycling to support children’s quality education. A new book called “Ant Leg and Giant Leaf” has been prepared for children to extend the scope and reach of the campaign called “Transform into Education” to society at large. The book’s author, Sebahat Söylemez, and famous actress, Melis Sezen, who voluntarily voiced the book, also participated in the launch of the book, which aims to help children become environmentally aware.

Stating that Turkcell’s positioning as the world’s leading digital operator puts the company in a leading role in the area of ​​sustainability, Turkcell Deputy General Manager Alper Ergenekon said: “The importance of environmental sustainability, which has become an unavoidable responsibility, is instilled in our children. , and we raise awareness for a green and clean future from 7 to 70 years old. Emphasizing that the book is an educational resource as well as its entertaining content, Alper Ergenekon went on to say, “I’m sure children will have fun reading the book and take action to protect the environment and activate their families. as good.
