Support of 400,000 lira to SMEs benefiting from the services of BTSO EVM

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB) will provide support up to 400,000 lira to SMEs benefiting from the services of the Energy Efficiency Center (BTSO EVM) set up by the Chamber of Commerce and Energy. Bursa Industry (BTSO).

BTSO EVM, operating in Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone, guides companies to increase their energy efficiency and competitive sustainability skills. Significant support has been put in place by KOSGEB for SMEs that will benefit from the centre’s services. Thus, within the framework of KOSGEB’s ‘Green Transformation Support Program’, a significant part of the energy audit costs of companies and expenses in line with the changes proposed as a result of the survey will be covered by KOSGEB. With the support, which includes two separate modules, Energy Driver Support and Efficiency Improvement Support, SMEs will be able to receive support of up to TL 100,000 for “Energy Drivers” and up to 400,000 TL for “efficiency improvement” expenses.

BTSO Chairman of the Board, İbrahim Burkay, pointed out that EVM has carried out important studies on energy and resource efficiency. Stating that the center has avoided millions of liras of energy waste by conducting efficiency studies in dozens of companies since its establishment, President Burkay recalled that the EVM had produced savings projects exceeding 8 .5 million TL in monetary terms last year. Burkay said that BTSO EVM has the status of an energy efficiency consultancy company approved by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and services of lean studies and preparation of efficiency improvement projects ( VAP).

Burkay said that the green transformation support program, which was implemented by KOSGEB to determine the current situation of SMEs in green transformation, identify their problems and needs, create the necessary strategies, develop their capacities and meet their priority needs, will reinforce their energy efficiency studies and will continue its speech as follows: “This support is a very positive development for our industrialists. Energy is currently the most important input and the costliest in our industry. The demand for energy in industry is also increasing rapidly with economic growth and increasing demand. As a resource-scarce country, we use our energy efficiently and efficient in all areas. Our manufacturers must also develop models that will offer more economic performance while consuming less energy. With this vision, BTSO EVM, which we implemented in 2016, guides companies on energy efficiency. The first and only accredited “Energy EVM in Turkey” BTSO EVM, which has the Efficiency Measurement Laboratory , also has the status of approved EVD company in the field of industry. All of our businesses that want to invest in energy efficiency under the Green Transformation Support Program can benefit from BTSO EVM opportunities.”

Recalling that companies that will receive training from Bursa Model Factory, which has been implemented by BTSO, receive support of up to TL 70,000 under KOSGEB’s business development support program, President Burkay said “Our chamber provides both the Green Transformation Support Program and the Business Development Support Program to businesses under one roof. The program offers a solid infrastructure. BTSO is the only institution in Turkey that can provide this service. I expect all of our businesses to benefit from the support programs. I would like to thank our Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mustafa Varank, on behalf of our business community, for this important support.”

The program has two distinct modules, namely support for energy drivers and support for increasing efficiency. Energy Engines Support has been designed for SMEs that consume 10 to 99 toe of energy per year. In the first stage of this support, Energy Efficiency Consulting companies (EVD), holders of survey project certificates or energy managers will carry out motor surveys with companies. The prepared report will be entered into the KOSGEB system. KOSGEB will support businesses up to 2,000,500 TL for the report in the first place. The report goes in the direction of changing the engine used by the SME and if the company makes this change, it will receive a non-refundable aid of up to 100,000 TL from KOSGEB.

In the second module of the program, Support for increasing efficiency, an energy audit will be carried out first. Authorized persons; will carry out a detailed study from boilers to fans, from ovens to thermal measurement. Once the report has been entered into the KOSGEB system, alimony of up to TL 30,000 will be paid to the company. If the company makes changes in accordance with the findings of the report, it will receive non-refundable assistance up to 400,000 TL from KOSGEB. Companies with a TEP value between 100 and 500 will be eligible for this support. – STOCK EXCHANGE
