THE TECHNICAL COMMISSION WILL WORK AFTER THE ELECTION LAWS
According to the result of the meeting of the 6 leaders, which lasted about 6 hours, organized by the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Gültekin Uysal, 3 working groups were formed to work until the elections. The commission that will work on the legal and constitutional change regarding the transition to a strengthened parliamentary system will be determined in the first place by the “Political Ethics Law”, “Making the Economic and Social Council Functional”, “Independent Central Bank”, ” institutional structure responsible for long-term strategy and planning”. This commission, which should include representatives of the parties carrying out the work of the parliamentary system, will be a technical commission and will work on other issues determined by the leaders during the process. THE POLITICAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE WILL PROVIDE
Another of the most important working groups formed by the leaders’ decision will be the working group, which the participating parties describe as the “Political Affairs Committee.” It is expected that this commission, which will study the principles and principles of a possible alliance and formulas of electoral cooperation, will also act as the secretariat of the leaders in the long term. Another commission that was evaluated at the meeting was the electoral security commission, the creation of which had been decided at the previous meeting. In this commission will take place the executives of 6 political parties in charge of electoral affairs and information technology. Within the framework of electoral security, the commission will work on the whole process, in particular legal solidarity and cooperation in the opposition processes, after the preparations before the election, the protection of the ballot boxes on election day and the closing of the polls. . Party representatives have set up 3 commissions: “It’s a marathon; We are advancing step by step”, “The alliance is an indication that concrete steps have been taken in the process leading to cooperation”.
THE COMMISSIONS HAVE THEIR FIRST MEETING THIS WEEK
6 opposition party leaders meet in alphabetical order, led by a party each month.
